Dr. Gilet received a medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2005. He completed his internship in internal medicine at Winthrop University Hospital. Afterward, Dr. Gilet completed his radiology residency at SUNY Stony Brook University Medical Center where he was the Chief Resident. Thereafter, he went to New York University Medical Center to complete his fellowship in MRI with subspecialty training in body, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal and spine imaging.

Dr. Gilet currently holds an appointment as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at New York Medical College where he was awarded Teacher of the Year for the Radiology Residency Program in 2016. He has written over 20 peer-reviewed articles, presented at over 100 national meetings, and is a member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance. Dr. Gilet is part of the examination committee for the American Board of Radiology, and was given the ABR Volunteer Service Award in 2018.

Dr. Gilet has been a primary investigator in several imaging and oncology research trials, including multiple studies for hepatocellular carcinoma, lymphoma, ovarian cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, melanoma and GI malignancies.

Prior to joining NY Imaging Specialists, Dr. Gilet was an Attending Radiologist, Director of MRI and CT, and the Radiology Residency Program Director at Westchester Medical Center/New York Medical College.
