Changping Jia, MD, PhD, is a board-certified nuclear medicine physician with extensive experience in diagnostic imaging and molecular imaging for oncologic conditions. He brings advanced expertise in PET/CT imaging, nuclear cardiology, and nuclear medicine therapies, including I-131 and targeted radiopharmaceutical treatments.
Dr. Jia earned his Doctor of Medicine from Shandong Medical University and PhD in Neuroscience from SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He completed his nuclear medicine residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by a Nuclear Oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center with specialized training in molecular imaging and therapy.
He has held prior roles as a nuclear medicine attending at the VA Medical Center in Philadelphia and Jacobi Medical Center, where she was involved in clinical care, research, and teaching residents and fellows. Dr. Jia has contributed to clinical research with multiple peer-reviewed publications in the field.
