Dr. Hua Carolyn Yang is a board-certified Nuclear Medicine Physician, Fellow of American College of Nuclear Medicine. With certification from both American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) and Certified Board of Nuclear Cardiology (CBNC), she has 15 years of clinical experience in PET/CT, SPECT/CT, general nuclear medicine and nuclear cardiology, and a deep focus on I-131 thyroid cancer treatment.
Dr. Yang’s expertise also extends the theranostic frontier with F-18, Ga-68 or Lu-177 labeled PSMA or DATATATE as new solutions for diagnosing and treating prostate cancer and neuroendocrine tumor, and Y-90 SIRT treatment for liver malignancy.
As a keen, dedicated clinician, Dr. Yang had invested substantial time and effort in research of nuclear medicine and cardiology, and delved into clinical trial investigations previously. Her published papers contributed to the understanding of intricate mechanisms underlying nuclear medicine and cardiology.
Dr. Yang earned her medical degree from Beijing Medical University. She completed an internship at St. Barnabas Medical Center and her nuclear medicine residency training at Northport VA Medical Center and Yale New-Haven Medical Center. She received a PET/CT clinical/research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. Dr. Yang is fluent in English and Mandarin.
